Cream Cheese and Apple Rolls!

So, our week is a little rushed as we are travelling to Seattle, WA for my husband to participate in Tough Mudder (a supporter of the Wounded Warriors Foundation).

We (Mommy) decided to skip the real learning and head right to dessert!  This is what we used:

2 tubes of crescent rolls
4 oz. light cream cheese (the spreadable kind)
2tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
apple slices

We beat the cream cheese, sugar, flour and vanilla until fluffy.  Then we spread this mixture onto the crescent rolls, added an apple slice, then folded them up as best we could (you can see from the pictures, this was not very well done!).  We baked these at 350 for 20-25 minutes.

My little helpers!

And the less than beautiful, but oh so delicious final product.

After we finished baking, we worked on hand eye coordination by sorting cotton balls, buttons and beads with tweezers and tongs.

Little Dude used his sister's hair clip and some pom pom's of different sizes.

Look Ma, I can do it!
